CAC995
Our specialist ceramic engineers have developed CAC995 specifically for the MTC Auburn facility. This material is a high purity Alumina which features added grain growth inhibitors providing a balanced distribution of small grained dense material.
CAC995’s small grain size, high density and lack of porosity mean that products made from this material can be polished to a very high surface finish. This high strength, non porous material is excellent for harsh chemical environments and has been used in many applications where the product needs to withstand exposure to acidic or caustic environments.
MTC Auburn utilise this material in many applications, the most popular being shear valves used in haematology instruments, however, this material is great for products where acid resistance and/or flatness and surface finish for sealing surfaces are critical.
This material is proving to have excellent usage within the medical industry however it is also suited to the severe environments created within the analytical instrument industry.
We work closely with our customers to select the right kind of material for your project and our technical engineers will work with you from design through to prototype and production, offering ISO 9001 quality and full traceability.
